HELLO BEAUTIES

After sharing all things glowy skin in my last blog, I’m so excited to share something a little different this time, a dreamy look for Barcelona bridal week, where my beautiful client Danielle was dressed by Vivienne Westwood. This show was extra special as it marked Vivienne Westwood’s first dedicated bridal show, and as one of my all-time favourite designers, it was a true honour to be part of such an iconic moment.

Danielle had picked out a stunning, metallic looking and figure hugging Vivienne Westwood dress. We worked together to create a show stopping look to complement this incredible dress.

We went for a Hollywood wave with a deep side part and volume to frame the face on one side. I prepped the hair with Living Proof's full volume and root lifting spray. Then I created a big bouncy glossy wave, using my favourite GHD classic tong as this creates a smaller curl with more longevity but also gives me the flexibility to lengthen the curl when I brush it out with my go to Denman D81M boar bristle finishing brush - it comes everywhere with me and creates beautiful, soft and glossy brushed out curls.

I used my go-to Living Proof dry texture spray which is a staple in my kit. I use this to create volume at the root of the hair, teasing the hair and spraying under each section. To set the curls I used the classic L’oreal Ellenette hairspray, which helped me to create a beautiful shape and hold the style in place. To finish I used Living Proof's frizz which created the super luxurious, glossy finish that looked amazing on Danielle.

We wanted to strike a beautiful balance between the statement dress and a timeless yet bold look for the makeup and hair. A flawless base of Fenty’s soft matte primer, my holy grail Dior face and body foundation and a touch of Charlotte Tilbury's Hollywood flawless filter gave us a beautiful satin finish. For this I used the Zoeva 102 foundation blender brush to tap the product into the skin.

We kept the eyes more natural with a soft contour to the eyelid with my Makeup by Mario's warm brown eyeshadow from the master matte palette and added some soft fluttery lashes from the brand Dark Swan of Denmark to elevate the look.

We went bold with the lips, lining them with anywhere caffeine by Makeup Forever to add natural sharpness to her lip shape, before going in with the iconic benetint by Benefit to add a stain to the lip for a long lasting red flushed look. Red carpet red by Charlotte Tilbury was a gorgeous shade to then apply over the top to give a touch of luxury.

This felt bold and chic all at once, tying the whole look together, and Danielle carried it like an absolute dream.
